Quarter-bound in purple paper over green paper-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Boards gently rubbed and rounded at corners. A small portion of the paper at the base of the spine has been chipped away. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, lightly bumped on edges, with small portion rubbed away at base of spine. An of what happened when a young British Army officer fell for a Japanese women, and their extraordinary love affair, in the early years of the 20th century.
