Leipzig: Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1852. European edition. Hardcover. Very good. 4 1/2 x 6 1/4 in. Two vols bound in one- xii, 352 pp, vi, 317 pp. No frontis portrait. Quarter black morocco over brown faux-leather, gilt spine titles. The same year as its publication in Boston with a new preface by Stowe written for the European edition - "No Nation Can Remain Free With Whom Freedom Is A Privilege and Not A Principle."
A prior owner's name written neatly in front but otherwise an antiquarian book in Excellent condition with very light foxing affecting a few pages.
