Monograph Of the Collembola and Thysanura

I have the original edition. That has beautiful, hand-coloured plates. No attempt has been made to reproduce these in the book, even in monochrome. This ia a great pity, as they are part of the original descriptions of severl common species.The book is where the original decription of the entire insect groups, as well as individual species, featured were described and named. The text remains a delight and is as easily readable as in the original.The original edition is extremely rare and about ten times the price of this one. So its publication makes it accessible to the current generations of entomologists.As a specialist in the Collembola for many decades, I welcome it.
