Rimrock Vengeance is just another of the good westerns turned out by Al Cody an pseudonym of Archie Joscelyn who wrote books from the 1930's into the 1980's, and he wrote plenty of them using those two names along with a third, Lynn Westland. Of one thing you can be assured, when you pick up one of his books it will be worth reading. This one is no different. Here we find two men acting undercover to try and discover who is rustling cattle and driving all the other ranchers out of the country---a pretty traditional theme. But Curt and Keogh discover they have several ranch owners to choose from who might be the guilty party, and the closer they get to the answer, the more difficult and dangerous it becomes. Behind it lies a disease which once started is almost impossible to stop--hoof and mouth disease.
