1948 New Directions hardcover no printing listed, in grey boards with blue lettering. No dj, soil and a lot of fraying on cover, stains on some pages, light tanning, soil on edge, else text clean, binding tight .

Near fine copy in a well preserved dust jacket. The original price $4 appears stamped on the front flap. Schwartz had a notoriously limited imput as a writer. This was his second book of stories following "In Dreams Begins Responsibilities."
