About the author

Paul Du Noyer started his career on "NME, "before joining the launch team of "Q Magazine. "He was the editor of "Q "between 1990 and 1992, and then became the founding editor of the hugely influential magazine "Mojo, "piking up an Editor of the Year award in 1994. He left "Mojo "in 1995, but remains a Contributing Editor. In 1997 he wrote "We All Shine On, "a book about the solo songs of John Lennon.

Formed in 1976, the furious four stayed in the headlines for a decade, until disbanding in 1986.
