Exposition Banner, 1972. First edition. Hard Cover. very good/very good. There is some toning to gutters of both front and rear. Otherwise, a very nice copy in a lightly chipped dust jacket. On August 16, 1920, Mays accidentally struck Ray Chapman of the Cleveland Indians with a pitch. Chapman died the following morning. Many fans and players demanded Mays be banished from baseball. "Nobody, it seems, ever remembers anything about me except one thing- that a pitch I threw caused a man to die". Carl Mays.
