This book is a collection of thoughts and observations on various portions of the Tao Te Ching, the writings of Deng Ming Dao, and observations about the Taoist way. There are no claims of rightness or wrongness in what is said in these pages. This book grew out of a need to provide a peaceful reading for those who seek a Way in their travels through life and through what we in the world call "the journey." This collection of thoughts is comes from a place from where the reader can start to find a peace of mind in what is a very difficult time in many of our lives. Far too many times, we are caught up in what we both literally and metaphorically call "fighting" for our identity. Our journey becomes a "war" between the traveler and the rest of the world, in and through which the individual must navigate in order to survive and to evolve. When one constantly fights for one's survival, it is easy to lose the other side of the dual - peace. As you read through these meditations remember, there is no right or wrong in this book; only your thoughts, brought to bear on an issue, as seen through the eyes of your history and your life experience. Each time you read a page, there is something new to be learned; something new to be seen.
