Description:
Marquette: Northern Michigan University Press. Near Fine. 1996. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 0918616174 . SIGNED and dated by the author on the title page. Signed first hardcover editions are uncommon. The author's senstive, literary style draws the reader in as he talks with the people who work in the logging industry in the remote northern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula known as Keweenaw County. The old days, the markers, the loggers, the saw miller, the factory, the buyer, and more are revealed by this Keweenaw native. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. Assumed first edition and printing as no other information is noted in the book. Does not appear to have been issued with a dust jacket. This book appears to have been unread. ; B&W Photographs & Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 232 pages; Signed by Author .
