Description:
Combe Publishing, 2004. First edition. Paperback. Near Fine. A non nonsense account of the experience of a young British lad, from a family settled in Singapore, who joined the Singapore Volunteer Corps shortly before the Japanese invasion and then spent the rest of the war as a prisoner under the Japanese. The account is unusual because it is not over dramatised and is from someone who was brought up in the country and so was more familiar with his surroundings than most of his fellow captives. 182 pages including an appendix listing his fellow prisoners who left for Thailand in October 1942. Near Fine Paperback. First Edition. Weight 0.5kg. Post free within Malaysia The book looks new apart from some scuffing on the text block.
