Description:
Bunbury, W.A.: V. Horn, 1987. Book. Near Fine. Soft cover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 8 5/8" x 5 3/8", viii, 164 pages, black and white illustrations. This is an amazing story of courage and overcoming hardship. It is also a story about great bonds within a family that give strength to make the most out of difficult situations. Well written & long out of print, the book gives a good account of the pioneering days in the Australian bush. Loosely inserted is a photocopy of a review of this book from the South Western Times, folded and signed on the reverse Jack Wyss, dated 11/9/89. The same signature and date is on the front free endpaper. Jack Wyss was the oldest son of the family, and brother of the author. Soft covers, covers slightly bumped and rubbed at corners, internally a near fine copy. Now uncommon. .
