Dr. Stephen Sance was saved at the age of thirteen and baptized at Pearl Acres Missionary Baptist Church in Slidell, La. in 1966. He surrendered to God's call to preach in 1975 while at Pearl Acres Baptist Church. Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church ordained him in 1982 and sent him out as a Missionary to Springfield, La. Dr. Sance is presently pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Pearl, MS. where he has served for the past 22 years. He has served as pastor of churches in Louisiana and Mississippi over a period of 34 years. He attended Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary, Minden, La and Gulf Coast Baptist Institute, Hattiesburg, MS where he received his Doctor of Theology Degree. He presently teaches at Gulf Coast Baptist Institute where he has served for the past ten years. He has taught Homiletics (Expository Preaching), Systematic Theology, Christian Psychology, and Acts and Missions. Though Dr. Sance enjoys teaching preachers and writing, his greatest joy comes from shepherding in one of the Lord's New Testament Churches. He has been privileged to pastor four churches over the years. He has been greatly blessed by the Lord with opportunities to pastor and teach God's people as well as teaching men whom God has called to preach. His aim as pastor, teacher and author is to make it all about Jesus, the One who so graciously paid the redemptive price for all people.
