Most of my novels wrap up at the end of the book, hopefully in a satisfying way for the reader. Media headlines plant the ideas that drive my creative side. I push the plots a few years, predicting the outcomes inside the subplots of my novels, and thus far, I've been spot on. My motivation for writing stems from a desire to influence the reader's perceptions of the world in which we live and the issues humanity faces. I've been asked how I can write scenes involving torture, rape, and human atrocities, and still be true to my Christian faith. The answer is simple. Tell the story like it is. But don't be overly graphic. If you're looking for an author match, I've been compared to Robert Heinlein in writing style. Heinlein was a great storyteller who refused to allow a setting to interfere with moving the plot along. He never wasted the reader's time with unfamiliar cultural trends or fancy words. Dialogue and snippets of exposition built the tension of his worlds with a minimum of effort. This is what I strive to do. I love meeting my readers. I want to hear from my readers.
