Cherisse M Havlicek lives and writes in the beautiful town of Bridgman, Michigan halfway between Grand Rapids, MI and Chicago, IL. Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she fell in love and married a Chicago Police Officer in 1985 and when he retired with 33 years on the Force in 1999, they had a 7-year-old by and a 2-year-old girl and it was off to Michigan. She has worked in many different fields: Hairdressing, Interior Landscaping, Juvenile Court. In Michigan, she worked at a small daily newspaper where she went from a Route manager to Single Copy Manager to the top producer in the Advertising Dept. while raising her children, attending their sport activities while also taking care of her husband's elderly mother and disabled cousin. After her husband's diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinson's, she realized that she could not longer work full time, outside of the home. They sold antiques at al local store but even that took her away from home too much. In September of 2016, her grown son, Arthur, found Chapter One of a book she started in high school and gave her grief about not finishing it. She wrote the next 44 chapters in 8 months and her first novel ANNA AT LAST was complete. She didn't stop there, though. She has written two more installments in the 'A Present/Past Saga' series and has written a children's Christmas story called A SILENT NIGHT. She, obviously, is making up for lost time!
