The book is designed and illustrated by Elizabeth Valero and Frank David Valdés, with collage and handpainted elements, all housed in a decorated paper box. The text is photocopied onto white paper. This is one of the few Ediciones Vigía books designed by two artists. Valdés, one of the regular Vigía designers of recent years, frequently combines organic forms into a single image. In this case, the cover of the box is decorated with an anthropomorphic figure that one one side depicts a sort of bird-man and on the other shows an anatomical rendering of a human circulatory system.
