This set of 11 volumes comes with a very rare article written by the celebrated Swedish Sinologist and scholar: Bernard KARLGREN. This is a book review of volume 4 above, and is a reprint from the B.S.O.S., London 1930, pp.241-252, and is a copious and complete essay. Karlgren uses many Chinese characters in the text and goes into minute detail and critique about the items found in Yetts book. Karlgren or the printer made a typographical error in calling the volume number II, rather than correctly citing it as volume IV. . *** BINDINGS; The set is bound as issued from the publisher, in black cloth spine and leading edges over gold paper, gold stamped, deckle edges. . *** CONDITION: An excellent set, with all plates, complete, very good condition, minor & usual head/tail wear, bottom edge scuffing some loss of paper, else was printed on Van Gelden paper, bound by Straker & Son. . *** SIZE: As issued by the publisher, in a large folio size, 32 x 46 cm., each volume is stamped by the former owner, otherwise no other marks. . *** SHIPPING: Due to the value, large size and heavy weight of this work, shipping will be by Federal Express only. Jr.: OUTLINE AND BIBLIOGRAPHIES OF ORIENTAL ART, p.61. *** Color scans of this and most other items are posted to our website. .
