A neat collection of sonnets and poems by Henry Alford, an English churchman, theologian, textual critic, hymnodist and poet. Includes 16 pages of publisher's advertisements to the front. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Marks to boards and some rubbing to rear board. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Light spots to front few pages. Contemporary ink inscription dated 1841. Very Good
