Hardcover book bound in the publisher's original full cloth-gilt. 16 cm. 142 pp. Contains three full-page black-and-white illustrations (including the frontispiece). A recounting of the eventful life of John Negus Wilson (Abraham Vest) who, after a harrowing separation from his family at a young age, found love and faith in Massachusetts. In very good+ condition. No ownership marks/writing present within. Hinges tight. Scattered spotting to the front/back matter. Moderate to heavy brown staining to roughly the first third of the book's pages (not affecting the text's legibility). Moderate edge wear/bumping/soiling to the cloth covers.
