Lightly scuffed/soiled covers and spine; rubbing wear at spine ends and slightly at fore corners; tightly bound; end papers are age darkened, tending towards brittle; owner name and date (1889) in pencil on front fly leaf; foxing on title page and occasionally throughout; several leaves have 1/2 to 3/4 inch missing at fore edges slightly affecting some text.
