About This Item
New York: William Morrow & Company, Inc., 1974. First edition. Hardcover. Good +/good. Darrow, Paul. Tan hardcover with red cloth spine, 1st edition in dustjacket. Signed and inscribed by the author without personalization on the half title page, "All good wishes of this playful satirist of the strange land of Academe & its even stranger inhabitants, Richard Armour." A good plus copy with heavy bending at the spine tips. General wear at the edges and scuffing at the corners. Front hinge opens widely - most likely from the author opening to sign. Binding is solid and pages all bound in. Unclipped jacket is in good condition but with a couple of short tears around the head of the spine panel and light wear and chipping to the panel edges. 153 pp., a nice collection of Armour's humorous anecdotes directed at tenured academics and their lot in life.
