Written by noted American humourist S.J. Perelman, who won an Academy Award for screenwriting in 1956. A presentation copy of this work, inscribed to 'Debs' and signed by Perelman to the half title page, dated 1972. The first Simon & Schuster edition of this work, which was originally written in 1947. Enclosed in the original dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a small amount of shelf wear. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart, with some sunning to the wrap and a few marks to the exterior. Author's ink inscription to the front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
