Cloth sunned at crown and foot of backstrip, corners bumped, spine a little cocked, endpapers toned, name in pencil on front free endpaper, dust-jacket rubbed in a few places and neatly repaired. A very good copy. § First American edition, with Scribner's logo and letter A on verso of title page, first state dust-jacket with yellow lettering on the spine panel. Hemingway’s last novel published in his lifetime. Hannemann A23A.
