Hodder and Stoughton, 1913. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1913. No Edition Remarks. 432 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with decorations. Ex-Libris plate stuck to front pastedown. Black and white photographic plates throughout. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose pages 431 to final page detached but still present. Pages and plates have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

In VG condition. Gilt decorated blue hardcover boards are lightly rubbed with gilt titling to spines a bit darkened. Gilt decoration to covers still bright. Dust spotting to foredges. Otherwise internally clean and unfoxed, square and securely bound.  Foldout map at back of Vol 1 is in fine condition.  Adventures of Savage-Landor exploring the interior of Brazil in 1911-12.  He was an English explorer, writer, and anthropologist, know for a "witty" writing style, and also known for his explorations in Nepal and China..  (cfm)
