About This Item

New York: Viking Press, 1942. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First edition. Illustrated by Robert Lawson. Small, neat owner's name on the front fly, and the boards a trifle soiled, else near fine in very good or better dustwrapper with tiny nicks and tears at the spinal extremities and with a little general soiling. A nice, presentable copy of a wartime title, winner of the Newbery Award.
