New York: Church Club of the City of New York, 1889.. 1889.. Good. - Octavo, softcover bound in printed olive green wrappers. The binding is bumped & chipped with numerous pieces out of the backstrip & out of the edges of the wraps. The wraps are darkened around the edges & partially detached & there is a very small area of white staining to the rear wrap. 32 pages. The page corners are lightly bumped. There is a light vertical crease to the wraps & pages where the pamphlet has been folded. The contents are in very good condition. Good. <p>First edition.<p>Inscribed in ink by the author and signed in full on the top corner of the front wrap.<p>Much of the address is concerned with the desirability of allowing prayers and the teaching of the Bible in schools.
