Based on the 1939 historical novel "Princess Mathe Bibesco," by Bibesco under the pseudonym Lucille Decaux. A remake of the 1938 French film "Katia," directed by Maurice Tourneur starring Danielle Darrieux and John Loder.
Set in St. Petersburg, Russia and shot on location in Paris, France and Vienna, Austria.
