Quarter black calf with gilt spine lettering and decorative rose paper over boards, decorative gilt slipcase. lii, 232pp; ix, pp. 235-498. Frontispieces, numerous full-page line drawings. Very good/near fine. Slightest of spine wear. Handsome, tight LEC production of the 1824 Persian-set "Arabian Nights" wannabee novel by British diplomat and writer Morier (1782-1849) -- fifth title in the LEC's 17th series. Rear colophon notes limitation of 1,500 numbered copies (this #241) signed by Guilbeau. Printed 5½" X 8½" announcement laid in. NEWMAN 179.
