About This Item
Boys Scouts Of America, New York, 1945; First Printing; 8vo, 687 pages; color illustrated boards; illustrated. Senior Scout Handbook for 1945, highly valuable for its instruction in camp craft, wood lore, and path finding, as well as for fostering honesty, cheerfulness, responsibility, and self-reliance. Especially useful for its illustrated instructional chapters on how to build one’s own camping equipment, row boat, sail boat, log cabin, and more. Very Good in illustrated cloth boards. Two previous owners’ names on blank front end paper. No text markings of any kind. Clean and bright, corners sharp, binding tight, sound, and square. A very nice copy of a useful and inspiring book, much needed by the present generation.
