A. L. Burt, 1932. Hardcover. Fair/Fair. Fair ; Fair Jacket. 1932 A. L. Burt. Hardcover has blue cloth-covered boards with red spine and cover lettering. Orange and white illustrated endpapers depict adventurous vignettes. Black and white frontispiece. 248 pages. NOT ex-library. Hinges NOT cracked. Binding cracked and partially broken at the title page. Covers have significant moisture damage to the top and bottom edges, with discoloration extending nearly an inch at the top of the front cover. This damage does not affect the interior of the book. Corners and spine ends lightly bumped, with some fraying at spine ends. Name in ink on front free endpaper, crossed out; another on the front endpaper in pencil. Page edges lightly soiled. Pages lightly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. Color illustrated dust jacket has tattered top and bottom edges, with several pieces missing from edges, as well as several tears. Tears have been repaired on the interior of the jacket with archival tape; there are also two small round stickers that were from an earlier repair. Jacket spine is lightly sunned and front cover is somewhat faded. Publisher's list of "Burt's Fine Books for Boys and Girls" on interior of jacket. Jacket is in a removable clear plastic protective cover. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
