About This Item

Maryknoll, New York: Orbis Books, 2017. NEW and unread in near PERFECT condition (only a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear to the cover -- like you sometimes find in any new book store). NO chips, tears, creases or fading. Bright and shiny. Flat, uncreased spine. Sharp corners. Square and tight. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked -- obviously never read. #54 in the American Society of Missiology Series. Illustrated with maps, photo, charts. Bound in the original pictorial wraps. From the publisher: "AFRICAN CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP, the result of a multiyear study implemented by African scholars, offers insights on the support and training necessary to promote African Christianity and to foster the healthy development of Africa. Meet the authors and review in-depth information at AfricaLeadershipStudy(dot)org. The remarkable expansion of Christianity in Africa amid massive social challenges has created unprecedented opportunities for Christian leadership. Thousands of young congregations now provide local platforms for spiritual and social direction. Schools and universities provide a wide range of educational opportunities. African Christians also find themselves exercising leadership in a wide variety of business, educational, media, social service, and governmental venues. Until now, they have lacked verified research data to develop new opportunities and improve existing support structures for contextually relevant Christian leadership training and development. Now those engaged or interested in this development can access insights and data gathered 'on the ground' and available nowhere else.". 2017 edition. Softcover. New. xx, 299pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
