Firearms Classics Library, 1995. Book. Fine. Hardcover. Special Edition printed privately for the Firearm Classics Library by the National Rifle Association. The binding is genuine pigskin Saderra leather, Himalaya grain, furnishedby the Cromwell Leather Company. Endleaves are 300-denier silk moire. Edges are gilded and spines arebrass-die stamped in 22-karat gold. Clean dark green leather binding is gold-decorated with gold lettering, raised bands on spine. No bumping, fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Light green silk moire endpapers, with an attractive previous owner's Firearms Classic Library bookplate on the front fixed endpaper. All page edges are gilt. Silk ribbon page marker. Illustrated in black and white with drawings and photographs. 431 pages with index. Fine reprint of one of the most popular books ever on African big game hunting (originally published in 1948)..
