New York: Liveright Publishing, 1936. A history of Alaska, with sections on the land and natives, explorers and hunters, gold-seekers and miners, and the industries that moved in. Hellenthal worked for a mining company and became an entrepeneur in Alaska. Light green boards, 312 pages with a fold-out map at page 302. All 24 photgraphs on 12 plates present. Gently bumped and rubbed, spine a bit darkened, with two small drip marks on the front and one on the lower spine. Binding square and solid. Inscribed on the front end paper "Juneau, Alaska July 14, 1937. This book may not be much, but my friend Moe, to whom it belongs, sells books that are even worse - his books contain Supreme Court decisions. J.A. Hellenthal." . Inscribed By the Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
