About This Item
Hartford: O. D. Case, 1865 & 1867. Hardcover. Very Good. Two volumes, pebbled leather boards and smooth leather on spine and corners. Raised bands, gold titles and all edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. 648 and 782 pages. Indexes and maps. Tissue guards on illustrations Spine of volume 1 shows dates 1776-1862 and chapters cover the history of slavery in the U.S, etc. Leather is rubbed through on a couple of corners, and a few small scrapes on spine. Top edge of spine of both volumes worn and chipped. The letter C of Conflict is scraped off of the spine of vol. 1. Corner crease on one page. Volume 2 title on spine has dates 1862-1865. No foxing except facing & on verso of portrait pages. Very nice sturdy, clean, unmarked books. Not available for international shipping.
