Full leather boards are quite worn on the edges and surface, leather preservative used at one point to stabilize the surface, spine much wear, label partly torn off and not readable any more. Front hinge weak, front endpaper bottom torn off, pencil scribbles, title page re-attached with archival tape with blue marks, foxing and tanning throughout with some liquid stains and soiling, pages 919-922 half torn off, rear endpapers with pencil doodles, testimonial page glued to inside rear cover. 1366 pages. 1852 printing of 1847 copyright.
