New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1931. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. 314 pp, in publisher's brown cloth, lettering in green. Small bump to upper corner of front board, else fine, with a review slip laid in. Dust jacket has chipping to spine ends and a few tiny tears at the top edge, one chip along front fold. Original $2.50 price present on front flap. A collection of short stories, often cited as Caldwell's first "significant" book.
