II: ix, [1], 483-892pp. plus 3 plates and frontispiece. III: iv, 893-1029pp. plus large map of the Mississippi Territory. Original green cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. Howes C391. This is still the standard work on the American fur trade. Hinges beginning to crack on volume I. Minor rippling to cloth on volume II. A few bumps and marks to binding on volume III. Ex-lib with light residue of call numbers on lower spines and bookplates on front pastedowns.
