London: Simpkin, Marshall & Co., 1888. Decorative Cloth. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Blue cloth, decorated on the spine and front cover. Rubbing and some fading to the covers, rubbed at the edges. The hinges are in good order, endpapers renewed. The pages are pretty clean, a few marks in places, old brown adhesive mark to the inner margin between the title reverse and preface, and between 14 & 15 (fairly minor). Pages; 231, (1), + 10 pages of ads (8 pages of interesting ads related to Plymouth & 2 pages relating to another book by the author on ancient crosses). 6 sheets of plates (4 are photographic plates of the area), + 15 smart looking woodcut vignette scenes.
