An attempt, ". . .to give the student, at a glance, the main literary output of any year or series of years." Beginning with "Gesta Romanorum" in 1475, through Virginia Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway" in 1925. Each entry with very brief information about the author and the work. Each year is labeled with the name of the reigning British monarch at the time, as well as key events during that year. No author or editor name is mentioned. Indexed. --- In full navy cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling.
