Paperback small, very good condition, illustrated red flexible covers, black & white drawings, pages faintly toned, spine ends little frayed, minor edgewear. 63 pp. This delightful story for young adults is about a Sicilian boy named Antonio. He lived in the seaport of Catania, in the island of Sicily. His friends called him Toni. He was an orphan. His parents had been killed when their house in Messina was wrecked by an earthquake, Toni was rescued from the ruins and taken to his grandfathers home in Catania. This story follows his many adventures on his way to becoming a famous violinist. (A reader for New South Wales schools. Originally published, Harrap, 1954.).
