Scott, Foresman and Company, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, New York 1953. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No dust jacket. 419 pp. Text white glossy, clean, unmarked, with no prior owner attribution. A hardcover compilation of three single-volume editions of Time for Poetry; Time for Fairy Tales, Old and New; and Time for True Tales and Almost True. Believed to be a first edition as the first two of the original single books were copyrighted in 1952 with the third copyrighted in 1953. This compilation by May Hill Arbuthnot was assembed in 1953. "A collection of poems and stories for children, to be used in the classroom, home or camp; expecially planned for college classes in children's literature; with introductions and headnotes." Illustrated throughout with original black and white drawings. Spine is lightly sunned. Very good condition for its age.
