About This Item
Chicago: P. F. Volland Co., 1923. Softcover. Twelve die-cuts, seven different designs in all; illustrated card stock; 4 1/2" in diameter; circular, gilt frame; die-cut ladies' figures in various outfits and hats; tabs at the bottom and on verso, to be folded in such a way that the figures would stay up (none folded); very minor wear to a few; near fine or better condition.A fabulous collection of, presumably, advertising pieces (although similar ones by the same company had been printed on verso to be used as bridge tally cards), they all showcased the splendor of Art Deco printing of the 1920s. The publisher, P. F. Volland Co., was well known for their beautiful children's books, greeting cards, games and calendars, as well as for publishing significant authors and writers.
