Chicago: Art Institute of Chicago, 1922. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Fair. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Descriptive catalogue of an exhibition of oriental rugs from the collection of James Franklin Ballard exhibited in Gallery Fifty and on the Main staircase from November 28, 1922 to February, 1923." 1500 copies of this catalogue were printed. Included is a typed letter on the letterhead of James F. Ballard, Inc. This catalogue copy was sent to someone to help with a talk on oriental rugs. Pasted onto the inside of the front cover is a short newspaper announcement of the exhibit being to the St. Louis Art Museum. Tjhe text block has come unglued from the cover.
