London: C. Rivington and J. Clarke, 1742. Full Leather. Good binding. Octavo. [16], 576; iv, [8], 520, [28] pp., frontis, folding plate. Sixth edition. In early speckled calf, with 20th century reback in calf with morocco title labels. Front boards of both volumes are starting to detach; minor rubbing to the extremities including some fraying to the corners; a series of early owner names on the endpapers otherwise contents are clean.

Originally issued in 1722, Turner's work offers 110 case studies describing treatments that his contemporaries were likely to encounter. An oft reprinted work as it went into six editions within 20 years of publication. Turner was prolific and his contributions to medicine significant.
