First UK edition of this work, preceded by the US edition published the year prior. A scarce copy. A mystery novel following the young lawyer Aragon as he looks for Gilly Decker's long lost husband in Mexico. Margaret Millar was an American-Canadian mystery and suspense writer, known for the distinguished depth of her characters. Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Minor staining mark to last few leaves and rear fly leaf, only affecting minor part of the text. Pages otherwise bright and clean. Near Fine
