NY: Random House, Inc., (1940). 4to.; glossy pictorial boards with red endpapers with gray elephants, hardcover; translated from the French by Merle Haas; color illustrations; lithographed by Newman-Rudolph Lithographing Co.; boards are rubbed especially on spine ends and there is a 1/2" chip on bottom of back free endpaper else a clean tight copy in a foxed, torn and edgeworn dust jacket with a 1 inch piece of tape on the front bottom edge and is unclipped.
