Near fine book with light edge wear in very good jacket with tape repairs to underside, chipping to edges, and staining to front panel.
Final work from Stephen Herbert Langdon (1876-1937), the American-born Assyriologist who later became a British citizen and professor at Oxford. Part of the Schweich Lectures on Biblical Archaeology series from the British Academy, of which Langdon was a fellow. Uncommon in jacket. .
