Boston and London: John W. Luce & Co., 1906. 1st Edition . Hardcover. G+ (Good Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Will Jenkins. SD and NAP (same date to title and copyright pages; no additional printings given). Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering and decoration; somewhat dulled and a little rubbed to front board, and very darkened/dulled to spine. Light edgewear, trace soil, slight fraying starting at spine ends, and lightly bumped spine ends and corners. A few small scratches. Minor bubbling to cloth on rear board. Binding a little tender and starting to crack in places; text clean. Interior lightly toned, with minor foxing to eps and pastedowns. Nice drawings at head and tail of each chapter. No prev owner names, stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. 210 pages. Uncommon! Chapters cover topics including carving meat and game, deviling and grilling, Mexican and Creole cooking, cocktail recipes, selecting wines, clothes laundering, and more!
