Signed by Perrotta on the title page; additionally, inscribed by him to who we assume was a former student on the front free endpaper. Octavo (8.5 x 5.75 in.); 197pp.; two-tone paper boards, in dust jacket. Near fine, with bumping to spine ends, and a few spots of some mild soiling to boards. In a very good, unclipped jacket with tattering at head of spine and numerous short closed tears along the top edge. The first book, a collection of stories, by the author of "Election," "The Leftovers," and other novels.
Synopsis
Tom Perrotta made his literary debut with his short story collection Bad Haircut, earning critical praise and comparisons to Salinger, Carver, and Roth by taking readers to New Jersey in the 1970s as a boy named Buddy struggles with the timeless mysteries of sex, death, parents-and of course, bad haircuts.
