The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some bumping, rubbing and edge wear. There is a tear to the top spine end and top front spine joint of the book cover. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several edge tears, nicks and chips. The top spine end and corners of the reverse of the dust jacket have some tape added by a previous owner. The dust jacket has ground-in dirt and spots of rubbing. "Lieutenant General Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell, OM, GCMG, GCVO, KCB, KStJ, DL (22 February 1857 – 8 January 1941) , was a British Army officer, writer, founder and first Chief Scout of the world-wide Boy Scout Movement, and founder, with his sister Agnes, of the world-wide Girl Guide / Girl Scout Movement. Baden-Powell authored the first editions of the seminal work Scouting for Boys, which was an inspiration for the Scout Movement. " (from Wikipedia) .
