Undated circa 1922 presumed first UK edition. 254pp. Previous owner’s pictorial bookplate on front pastedown. Occasional age toning on endpapers and inside, crack to hinge at front free endpaper. Generally in very good / good condition. A selection of witty short stories and a play. Elizabeth Bibesco was the daughter of a Prime Minister and married a Romanian prince; an author and a socialite, her work drew on her experiences in European high society, finally dying in Romania during the second World War.
